God's Plan of Salvation

God the Father

The 1st Person of the Trinity

We believe God is YHWH — eternal, without beginning or end, the Creator who is not subject to His creation; the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last.

Omnipotent: all-powerful, holding all authority. Omnipresent: He is Spirit, present everywhere at once; nothing is hidden from Him. Omniscient: He knows all things. Omnibenevolent: perfectly good.

These attributes belong to God alone and cannot be possessed by anything He created — angel, demon, Satan or man.

God the Son

The 2nd Person of the Trinity

We believe Jesus is God incarnate, the living Word, eternally one with the Father and the Spirit, through whom all things were made.

He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, died on the cross as the payment for our sins, was buried, rose bodily on the third day and ascended to the right hand of the Father, where He lives to intercede for us.

He is fully God and fully man, without sin, the exact image of the invisible God, given all authority in heaven and on earth — the Lion of Judah and the Lamb of God, the same yesterday, today and forever.

Because He is God, we can trust everything He says, and He has the love and authority to save all who trust in Him. Because He became man, we have a High Priest who understands our weakness — so we can come boldly to the throne of grace.

God the Holy Spirit

The 3rd Person of the Trinity

We believe the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and of truth, eternally one with the Father and the Son. He took part in creation and lives in every believer as counselor, helper, comforter and guide — our seal of redemption.

He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, and He brings glory to Jesus. Without His indwelling no one is born again; no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except by the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:3).

We believe the gifts of the Spirit are for today, to be used in an orderly way for the good of all and the glory of God — and that the greatest gift is love. His fruit in us is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22–23).
